Course Description:

a) Sample space, Discrete Sample Spaces, Definition of Probability, and Theorem’s in Probability. Combinatorial analysis. Ordered sets and Probabilities of ordered sets, special cases of n balls in n boxes, birthday problems and of ordering with two kinds of elements.

b) Hyper-geometric distribution and its application in quality control, estimator fish in lakes, in elections and bridge games etc. Poisson probabilities and application in large number of balls in cells, Birthday problem and Radio active emission etc., Binomial Distribution .& its applications in power supply problems, testing vaccines & other medical uses, in sex distribution, misprints, traffic problems etc.

c) Negative Binomial Probability its application in Banach Match Box problems etc. Approximating Binomial from Poisson, Normal from Binomial and Normal from Poisson. Multinomial Distribution.

Course Review:      

This course contributes the basic precept of probability, sample spaces, combinatorial analysis, ordered sets and their probabilities, ordering of two kinds of elements. It also covers the multinomial distributions and different discrete distributions and their applications, approximating binomial from Poisson, normal from binomial and normal from Poisson.
