Course Description:      

a) Theory of small Samples: Random Samples, Exact Sampling. Distributions from Normal) Populations, Distribution of Sample Mean Rt Variance, t distribution, Chi-square distribution, F Distribution. Distribution of Sample mean from Binomial and Poisson distributions.

b) Order Statistics: Uniform and Exponential and Cauchy & Pareto distribution. Joint Sampling distribution of (i,j)th order Statistics. Distribution of Median, Range, Quartile. Moments of order Statistics & use of recurrence relations.

c) Sampling Distribution of Coefficient of linear correlation.

Course Review:

The course is bically about sampling, the concepts of small samples are brought in by this course which includes random samples, exact sampling, different distributions such as normal distribution, t distribution, χ² distribution, F distribution, distribution of sample mean and variance and sampling distribution of coefficient of linear correlation, order statistics of uniform, exponential, Cauchy & Pareto distribution. In addition to it there is Joint Sampling distribution of (i,j)th order statistics, distribution of median, range, Quantile, moments of order statistics and use of recurrence relations.
