Softwares

A variety of softwares of special interest to students is available on each computer including Microsoft Office XP (with Word, Excel, Access and Power point) SAS, SPSS, S-PLUS, Statistica, Minitab, Mathematica, Maple, Matlab, ITSM and other software running under the windows XP operating system.

The department provides the students with invaluable practical experience in learning how to solve statistical problems, perform as consultants, and communicate with clients. Students assist on-and-off-campus researchers in actual research projects involving statistical data collection and analysis.
